Too Hot for Coffee Edition

My Favorite Things on the Internet This Week

The Weekly Click

Hello internet stranger,

Welcome to The Weekly Click, a weekly (shocking, I know) updated list of interesting bits on the internet that I thought I’d share.

Happy clicking!

Online happenings that made my week.

What Does a Great Cup of Coffee Taste Like?

James Hoffman, in a delightful video, explains what goes into a great cup of coffee.

50 Things I Know

Sasha Chapin has created a wonderful list of fifty things he knows about himself and the world. It is full of little notes and observations. I highly recommend reading through them.

End Of An Error As Ángel Hernández Calls It Quits

The worst thing an umpire can do is teach fans their name. Finally, Angel Hernandez has left the game. He was absolutely horrific. I’m glad he’s gone.

Stop Acting Like Your Famous

“You aren’t famous. Anything you do or create will probably receive little to no attention, so stop optimizing for a non-existent audience and instead focus on what makes you enjoy the activity.” Excellent advice. The rest is pretty good, too.

“It Doesn’t Matter If It’s Good Right Now, It Just Needs To Exist.”

Austin Kleon, who I don’t always agree with, has a post about writing and first drafts that rings true.

The articles you should read today.

Quotes, sayings, and other scribblings.

“I could write a long list of all the things I don’t care about any more, but I don’t care about them enough to write the list.” — Warren Ellis

It’s hard to imagine a world with no hypothetical situations.

The fact that soo many people choose to remain ignorant when the world’s information is at their fingertips is disgusting.

The media does not pursue the truth, they pursue a sellable story.

The first rule of passive-aggressive club is…you know what, never mind. It’s FINE.

"Reputation is the echo of your actions.” — James Clear

The Weekly Click has been beamed to you via Beehiiv. Thanks for reading. If you like this potpourri of internet mélange and want to support it, forward it to someone who might like it, or at the very least, let me know what you think by replying to this email.

What a week! I just wanted to talk about coffee, but that got trumped. The good thing is the sun is shining, and the weather is perfect (at least where I am). So try to take a few minutes for yourself and just be where you are—inside or out. Search out the light and the truth. Remember, the world can always bring you something better. Take care of yourself, so we can both sit down next week and do this all over again.

Be seeing you.
